A 21-year-old Ukrainian student, Danilo Kuzmin, was abducted, tortured, and killed in Vienna by compatriots seeking his cryptocurrency holdings. The victim, believed to be the son of Kharkiv's deputy mayor Sergey Kuzmin, was found in a burned-out vehicle with Ukrainian plates in a luxury hotel's parking garage.

Authorities arrested two suspects—Ukrainian nationals aged 19 and 45—following a cross-border investigation involving Europol. The assailants reportedly drained Kuzmin's crypto wallets before murdering him, marking a grim intersection of physical violence and digital asset theft.
